Here we have a wonderful rare Norfolk George III Oak chest of drawers c1790. As you can see the chest has great colour and patina. The chest is the most original chest of drawers we have ever had. Apart from a good clean and wax the chest required no further restoration and retains the original brass bail handles, bracket feet and even the backboards with original rosehead nails. The reeded moulding to the top edge and bracket feet shape make this chest without doubt a norfolk piece. There is a two plank top with super grain and colour. There is a desirable configuration of two over three drawers with hand cut dovetail joints and a beautiful faux cockbeaded edges. As suggested the handles are original as are the beautiful bracket feet. A super period chest of drawers in fantastic retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 100 cm high 95 cm wide 46 cm deep.
