The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the fixed wire lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Chester 1923 with a maker’s mark for the Stylic Manufacturing Co Ltd, a Birmingham case maker. The case has a couple of little “dings” to the bezel, and unevenness to the hinged case back.

The back of the watch is engraved ‘FTAS, from Edna, 1926’.
The lens is in lovely condition.
The dial has a chip to the edge, some of which is covered by the bezel, and a few hairline cracks. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.
The watch has a vintage leather strap. The strap is quite short so we could replace with a new longer black strap if required.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
