Small George III Mahogany Chest on Chest C.1800

Description

George III mahogany chest on chest c.1800. Smaller that most chest on chests, just five feet tall. In two pieces, the top with two short and three long drawers over a slightly larger base with two long drawers. Solid mahogany drawer fronts with thumb moulded edges and decorative Georgian pattern brass handles and escutcheons. Moulded cornice and a simple moulded trim at the waist and base. Raised on bracket feet at the front and sides. Pine sides and oak drawer linings. Excellent condition with some earlier restorations. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
