An unusual late 18th century French Empire solid pear wood buffet sideboard, retaining its original brasses and working locks.
This is a really lovely piece of furniture, lovely proportions but it’s also slightly shallower than many buffet which lightens its feel too. Fabulous warm tone to the pear wood and wonderful decorative grain patterns, panelled sides and turned columns to the front corners with brass collars.
The buffet has the full width drawer above panelled doors which open to give you lots of storage space with a single fixed shelf.
Simplicity at its best and one of my favourite pieces currently!
