The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1900s.
The watch has a good quality stem-winding movement, probably Swiss, which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 66mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is nickel with a thin rim of gilt metal next to the lens. The case is in good condition with just minor surface marking, nothing serious at all.

The glass lens has a handsome bevelled edge. There is a 1cm scratch and also a shorter one but you have to look quite carefully to see them.

The watch comes with an unusual single heavy Goliath watch chain, we have never seen one like this before and it is perfectly proportioned for the watch, although probably a little later in date.
The watch and chain come in a new presentation box.
