The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The watch has a Swiss 15-jewel hand-winding movement, signed Syren, which is working nicely.
Syren was a brand name used by an importer of watches manufactured by Record and Revue.
The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the hinged case back for London 1927 together with a sponsor’s mark for Louis Arnould of the City Watch Case Company Limited. The front and sides of the case are in good condition. The hinged case back has some unevenness.

The lens is in good condition.
The dial has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track. There are a couple of hairline cracks to the dial although fairly faint.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a vintage presentation box from a Preston jewellers.
