Gents 1950s Glycine Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

Gents 1950s Glycine wrist watch.

The watch has a good quality automatic movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed Glycine.

The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is stainless steel and it is in good condition with just general light surface marks, nothing serious at all. The screw-on case back states that the watch has been water pressured tested but, as with any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water and moisture. The end of the winding crown has marking.

The lens is in lovely condition.

The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, centre seconds hand and date display (an early form of date setting which is initially set by repeatedly moving the hands backwards and forwards between quarter past midnight and 8.45pm.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
