Superb Quality Georgian Mahogany Antique Chest on Chest
Of unusual smaller proportions, this late 18th Century Superb Quality Georgian Mahogany Antique Chest on Chest dates from ca.1770 and has wonderful charm and character. It has a moulded cornice above two over six oak lined cock beaded drawers with brass swan neck handles. This quality antique chest stands on shaped bracket feet with unusual Chippendale design etching and the chest splits into two sections for easy removal. The mahogany on this Georgian chest of drawers has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of antique wax finishing.
