Yolanda Gray Antiques has dated this piece to the 1750s.
The drawers are decorated with later period brass swan neck handles, and are constructed with oak lined butt joints and close flush to the frame. It is nice to see that this dresser features all its working drawers. Below, the Georgian oak sideboard / dresser base is designed with a central fielded panel, flanked by two working cupboard fielded panel doors. Both doors feature working locks (with key) and the original steel butterfly hinges; there is an internal shelf inside each cupboard space with the original oak floorboards. The fielded panels are replicated on each side of the Georgian oak sideboard / dresser base. The dresser stands on the original shaped bracket feet to the front and block feet to the rear.

Condition Report:
This is a lovely antique English early Georgian oak sideboard / dresser base, displaying a lovely rich oxblood colour, from the George II period, circa 1750, in excellent condition. Nominal old use marks to the top of the Georgian oak sideboard / dresser base, leading edges and both side panels (see photos), but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The drawers are decorated with later period brass swan neck handles (there are no locks on the drawers). The two working cupboard doors feature a working steel lever lock (with key) and the original steel butterfly hinges. The drawer linings, floor-boards and feet are all original. The Georgian oak sideboard / dresser base boasts the original polish; therefore, it has a fantastic depth of colour and patination displaying a lovely rich oxblood colour. This Georgian oak sideboard / dresser base is solid in joint and ready to use.
