Description

1930s Coventry Astral pocket watch from H Williamson.

The watch has an English seven jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Astral name. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has the name of a previous owner, J G Englefield

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the gold plated Star model from the Dennison Watch Case Company. Dennisons was a Birmingham based case maker, the company supplied cases for many different watch makers. The front and side of the case are in good condition. The hinged case back has some unevenness.

The glass lens is in good condition.

The dial is signed Coventry Astral, a brand name first registered by H Williamson in 1910. The dial is in good condition.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
