Gents Good-sized 1950s Helvetia Britannia Watch

Description

Gents good-sized 1950s Helvetia Britannia wrist watch.

The watch has a fully signed 17-jewel in-house Helvetia calibre 64 hand-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch is a good wearable size at 34.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The main body of the case is chrome plated, it has light marking but overall the condition is good. The signed screw-on case back states that the watch is waterproof but, as with any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water and moisture.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial is in good condition with original dauphine shaped hands, a large subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
