Antique English Victorian Four Door Flame Mahogany Sideboard Chiffonier Server (Circa 1860)

This is a stunning exhibition quality antique Victorian sideboard chiffonier, constructed from solid flame mahogany, with four doors and a breakfront design, circa 1860, in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The Victorian sideboard chiffonier has been cleaned and French polished by hand, to a professional standard, in our workshop. Therefore, the colour and patination of mahogany is of an excellent standard. There are no stains or watermarks to the top. The drawer and doors close flush to the frame; they are not warped and there are no splits to the door panels. The drawers are mahogany lined and feature dovetail construction; the central external drawer also boasts a quarter beaded interior (a sign of quality), as well as an oval moulded flame mahogany panel. The left-hand, centre-right & right-hand doors retain their original working locks (with working keys) and the centre-left door retains the original brass sliding bolt latches. The carcass is solid in joint with no loose movements and there is no missing veneer. The Victorian sideboard chiffonier stands on its original block plinth. This is a single piece item and does not dismantle. This item is solid in joint and is ready to be used.
