The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely.
The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch is larger than a standard 50mm pocket watch at 55mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 10ct gold filled and was manufactured for the US Watch Co by Fahys of New York. The case is handsomely decorated on both the front and back although there is some wear to the detail.

The inside of the front cover has the name of a previous owner, Joseph Smith.
The winding crown pushes in to open the release the front cover. Inside, there is an acrylic lens which has light marking but is very acceptable.

The dial is signed US Watch Co, Waltham. It has three hairline cracks but they are faint. The hands are lever set… the lever is just on the bezel to the side of number 5.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
