Finely and profusely carved Anglo-Indian padauk sideboard raised on twin pedestals. The elaborate carved and pierced upstand back with a central anthemion or honeysuckle classical motif with scrolls and fruit , taking its inspiration from English furniture designs of the Regency period .

The carved inverted break-front top fitted with 3 frieze drawers with carved floral and leaf style decoration , the pedestals with gadrooned carved ‘sunburst’ panel doors enclosing interiors each fitted with single adjustable shelf .The front edge carved with ovolo or ‘egg-and-dart’ design. Each pedestal raised on carved tapering fluted feet .
Superb grade of figured padauk timber which has achieved a rich colour and patina.

A stylish and highly decorative sideboard or server of practical scale and proportions.
