The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The watch has a good quality stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Zenith name and the serial number 1,728,705 dates it back to 1914.
The watch measures 47mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop.
It is added as a powder or paste, then fired until it melts or at least softens, and flows or is pushed into the engraved lines in the metal.

There is some niello loss in places and some unevenness to the case back. There is also a shield surmounted by a crown which has been covered in a rose gold wash, and it has the initials HT or TH.
The watch glass is in good condition.
The signed dial is in its original finish with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
