Gents 1940s Large Mondia Wrist Watch

Description

Gents 1940s large Mondia wrist watch.

The watch has a 17-jewel Swiss hand-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch is a good wearable size at 35mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs, larger than many watches from this era. The main body of the case is chromium plated while the case back is stainless steel. The case is in good condition for such an early piece, just general light surface marking.

The lens is in lovely condition.

The dial is in good condition although the Mondia name is now very faded, it may be that the dial has been cleaned at some stage in the past.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
