The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1880s.
The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for London 1881. The case is in very nice condition.

The winding crown pushes in to release the front cover. Inside, there is an acrylic lens which is in good condition.
The dial has pin-set blued steel hands, including the special half hunter hour hand so that the time can be read when the front cover is closed. There are a couple of faint hairline cracks but they are difficult to see with the naked eye.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
