Here we have a rare solid Camphor wood military campaign secretaire chest of drawers c1860. As you can see the chest has great colour and patina. We have never seen a chest of this type in solid Camphor wood. Every inch is Camphor wood from drawer linings to pigeon hole inserts. There is a single piece top with super grain and colour. There is a top secretaire drawer with fully fitted and very fine quality interior. The handles as you would expect are flush and rebated into the drawer fronts.The drawers have wonderful line inlay and the most spectacular reeded decoration to the surrounds. The whole sits on the squashed bun feet. The two parts have revealed dove tail joints and heavy brass side carrying handles. This is a very high quality and fine example offered in fantastic retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 109 cm wide 109 cm high 50 cm deep.
