Antique Elgin pocket watch 1914
The watch has a grade 293 seven jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. This grade was in production from 1904 until 1943. The serial number of this particular movement is 17362008 which dates it back to 1914. The gilded movement is fully signed with the Elgin name and it is all protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the gold filled and is the J Boss model from the Keystone Watch Case Company. The case is in nice condition with crisp engine turned detail to the back and a vacant cartouche to the centre.
The watch glass is in nice condition.
The signed dial is in nice condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
