Gents 1950s Roamer Wrist Watch

Gents 1950s Roamer wrist watch.

The watch has a 17-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch measures 32.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is stainless steel and it is in good condition with minor surface marking. The back of the watch has brevet numbers relating to 1950s design patents relating to the case. Signed Roamer winding crown.

The lens is in lovely condition.

The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, seconds sweep and date display (not quickset). There is some age related marking across the dial but not too detrimental.

The watch comes on a stainless steel bracelet which currently fits a 17.5cm wrist although there is capacity on the clasp to make it about 1.5cm smaller if necessary. There is some surface marking to the clasp. Alternatively, we can fit a leather strap if preferred.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
