Early 18th Century Walnut Chest On Stand

A rare early 18th Queen Anne century solid Walnut Chest On Stand of outstanding colour and patina, retaining the most fabulous original legs with boldly carved Braganza foot. The chest decorated with double bead around the drawers that is so typical of the period, there is a deeply shaped apron to the base and nice secret cushion drawer below the cornice. The drawer linings are made in pine with a few replacements to the base. The handles are later replacements that are correct for the period, otherwise this piece is in remarkably original condition and has been lovingly waxed over the years, it really glows.
