The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1960s.
The watch has a Swiss 17-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely. In the photo of the movement, you will see two empty retaining screw holes.

The watch measures 31mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs so it would suit a slimmer wrist. The main body of the case is gold plated, it has small surface marks, not too detrimental. The stainless steel screw-on case back, signed Avia, has some scratching where a tool has slipped in the past. The case back states that the watch is water resistant but, as with any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water and moisture.

The lens is in lovely condition.
The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and roulette date. The date is an early form of quickset where the hands are moved repeatedly backwards and forwards between 12.40am and 10.30pm until the desired date is reached.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
