Jessie Hall SWA 1858-1915.Animal painter.Studied under Frank Calderon..Lived Croydon.Exhibited principally at the Society of Women Artists where she showed 83 works but also at RA,RI,RBA,The Walker Art Gallery,Liverpool and elsewhere.She died in a cycling accident. ‘ Across the Downs’,signed watercolour,image size 27x48.5 cms,framed size 51x71 cms.Original frame. A good atmospheric watercolour with the suns rays falling on the backs of the herd of sheep creating an attractive composition.
