The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1940s.
The watch has a Swiss 15-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely.
The case is 9 carat gold and it is a good heavy weight. There are hallmarks inside the case back for Birmingham 1945. The case is in good condition for a 1940s piece, just general surface marking but nothing too detrimental at all.

The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial is in its original finish with original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in an antique presentation box from a jeweller in Burton on Trent, UK.
