Maples Chippendale Style Sideboard with Ornate Gallery

1900 - 1920
Description

A well proportioned and well made sideboard produced by the famous company of Maples around 1900. The name impressed on top of the central drawer (see photo)

Quality mahogany has been used for this piece....but for me, the highlight of this sideboard is the cast bronze gallery. I have never seen such a wonderful gallery on any sideboard of this type.

The right side cupboard has the original zinc lined cellarette and the whole sideboard stands on ball and claw feet.

The condition overall is good and it has its original key.
