Description

Antique Elgin full hunter pocket watch, 1916.

The watch has a seven jewel stem-winding movement, grade 292, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 18,741,622 dates it back to 1916. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover. This inner cover has some marking where it has been opened in the past.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 14kt gold filled and was supplied by the case maker Bates & Bacon of Massachusetts. The case is in beautiful condition and it has exquisite initials to the front.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside there is an acrylic lens which is in good condition.

The signed dial is in good condition and has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
