The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed Rands (Rotherham & Sons) lever, 15 jewels, 3 adjustments, Swiss made. After the second World War, Rotherhams started importing movements from Switzerland. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 49.3mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop.
The case has light surface marking from use and a few mild “dings” to the back but overall it is in ice condition for a 1930s piece.
The glass lens is in good condition.
The dial is in lovely condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
