Gwr (Great Western Railway) Pocket Watch Issue No 1842, by Rotherham’s Dating Pre-1922

Description

For sale this fine GWR (Great Western Railway) pocket watch issued no 1842 by Rotherham’s dating pre-1922. This rare example is sold with its original buy out of stores receipt NoA2049 dated 9th June 1969. It is also accompanied with a framed photo of a bomb-damaged engine dating 1942 at Shepton Mallet. The pocket watch is in exceptionally fine original condition with a perfect dial marked GWR and deep blued handset. The case is marked with matching numbers throughout. The fine gilt Rotherham’s signed movement is in full working order keep excellent time. Yellowed front glass which is nice to see and is still easy to read. A very fine set from the earlier period of GWR. Price £695.00 Reserved CM & AR
