Description

1939 Zenith pocket watch.

The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement, 15 jewel calibre 18-28-3-P, which is working nicely. The movement is signed Zenith, and it has the serial number 3,222,393 which dates it back to 1939. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which is engraved, ‘Grand Prix, Paris 1900”, a proud statement seen in Zenith cases produced in the first half of 1900s.

The watch measures 48mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is nickel. The front is in good condition. There is a slight indentation to the hinged case back and light surface marking but nothing too serious at all.

The watch glass is in good condition.

The signed dial is in lovely condition with Breguet style hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute track with red number markers.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
