1910s Lowiza silver full hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed Lowiza SH, a name registered by Société Horlogere de Porrentruy who went on to become Phenix Watch Co in the 1920s. The movement also carries the Brevet (patent) number 51828 which relates to a 1910 patent for winding and time setting. The movement is protected by an inner metal cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are Continental hallmarks for 800 silver inside the two outer covers. The case has engine turned detail to both the front and back covers and it is still nice and crisp.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside, there is an acrylic lens which is in lovely condition.

The signed dial has some damage by number 10, and a hairline running from the centre towards number 5. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
