French Fruitwood Commode

18th century
Description

French, grey marble top, fruitwood commode. Featuring 3 full-length drawers and reeded details. Circular brass drop handles adorn the front of each drawer alongside key-hole hardware which mirrors the shape of the handles. Made from fruitwood it gives the item a soft touch surface.

The drawers are slightly warped due to the age but still function smoothly.

In good, very presentable condition with some repairs and previous woodworm to the back and underside of the marble (as shown)

Originating from France. Dated as circa 1790s.

Made of fruitwood with brass hardware.
