Gents 1960s Systema automatic wrist watch.

The watch has a 25-jewel automatic movement which is working nicely.

The watch measures 33.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is gold plated and it is in very nice condition. The case back is stainless steel, it states that the watch is water resistant but, as with any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water and moisture.

The lens is in good condition.

The dial is signed Systema, a brand name registered by the Swiss company Systema Watch Co SA in 1959. It is in its original finish with original hands, seconds sweep and a date display. This is an early form of quickset where the hands are moved backwards and forwards between 12 midnight and 9pm until the correct date is reached. There is light marking to the dial but nothing too detrimental.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
