Gents Omega wrist watch, 1950.

The watch has a calibre 265 15-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely. It is signed with the Omega name and the serial number 12,039,505 dates it back to 1950 (the movement was in production for many years from 1939 until 1963).

The watch measures 34mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is stainless steel and it was made by the Dennison Watch Case Company. The Dennison Watch Case Company was based in Birmingham, and was just one of a handful of English case-makers who imported Omega movements and cased them either in gold or stainless steel (Dennisteel) cases. Overall, the case is in good condition with just the odd small mark and a few surface scratches to the case back.

The winding crown is a later replacement.

The lens is in lovely condition.

The signed dial has been re-finished some time back, it has some fairly light age related marking. Dauphine shaped hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
