1910s Thomas Russell centre seconds chronograph pocket watch.

The watch has an English stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed Thomas Russell & Son. Liverpool, Pat No 20254 and warranted English. The movement is all protected by an inner hinged cover.

Thomas Russell & Son was a well respected business having achieved a Royal Warrant as watch and clock makers to the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.

The watch measures 50.3mm diameter excluding the winding stem and loupe. The case is the gold plated and is the Star model from The Dennison Watch Case Company. The case has light surface marking from use and a small “ding” to the back but overall it is in nice condition for a 1910s piece.

The acrylic lens is in nice condition.

The dial is signed Chronograph Centre Seconds by Thomas Russell & Son Liverpool. There are a couple of faint hairline cracks to the chapter ring. And a tiny nibble to to the centre hole although hardly noticeable.

The watch has blued steel hands and a gold second sweep.

The watch will come in a new presentation box.
