Antique Denco pocket watch by Dennison.

The watch has a good quality 17-jewel stem-winding movement, with snail cam regulator, which is working nicely.

The movement is signed Denco Watch Co, a brand name registered by the Dennison Watch Case Company in 1915. Up until then the company had concentrated on manufacturing watch cases, supplying various watch companies and of course Waltham UK. However production temporarily ceased at the start of World War II when the company starting manufacturing military equipment for the British Royal Air commenced.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is Dennison’s gold filled Moon model and it is in lovely condition with just the odd small mark.

The watch glass looks good to the naked eye, light marking if you look closely.

The dial is signed Denco, and it has its original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

Unusually, the watch comes in an original Dennisons cardboard box.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
