Antique Zenith pocket watch and chain.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 1,491,095 dates it back to 1913. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has an inscription to commemorate the Grand Prix won in 1911 at the Paris exhibition. This inner cover has some unevenness and a few scratches.

The watch measures 49mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is stamped inside the hinged case back with the Zenith logo, and it is also stamped Metal Blanc Garanti (although called white metal, it is nickel). The front of the case is in good condition. The case back has some unevenness.

The acrylic lens has light marks.

The double sunk dial has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track. There are three hairlines but they are very faint.

The watch comes with a single chain, 30cm long including the T-bar and clasp, and also a locket attachment.

The watch and chain come in a new presentation box.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
