Antique Gun Metal and Gold Omega Pocket Watch

Antique gun metal and gold Omega half hunter pocket watch, c1900.

The watch has a stem-winding movement, identified as by Omega, which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 45mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is an unusual but very handsome combination of gun metal and gold. The gold chapter ring to the front of the watch has blue enamel filled Roman numerals, and the whole gold section is riveted to the front cover, this is a good sign of a quality piece. There is a little enamel loss and minor marking to the gold.

The inside of the back cover has the early Omega logo.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover.

Inside, there is an acrylic lens which is in good condition.

The dial has a few hairline cracks and the minute hand is slightly out of shape but not overly noticeable to the naked eye. The dial has the special half hunter hour hand so that the time can be read when the front cover is closed.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
