Gents retro 1960s Lanco wrist watch.

The watch has a 17-jewel Langendorf hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Lanco name, a brand name first registered by Langendorf in 1913.

The watch measures 32mm wide excluding the winding crown and 33mm high excluding the lugs. The main body of the case is chrome plated and it is in good condition with just the odd minor mark. The winding crown is signed with the Lanco L.

The screw-on case back is stainless steel and it is also signed with the Lanco logo. There is some scratching where a tool has slipped in the past. It also states that the watch is water protected but, as with any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water and moisture.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial is in lovely original condition with original hands, seconds sweep and an early form of quickset date where the hands are repeatedly moved backwards and forwards between 12 midnight and 9.15pm until the desired date is reached.

The watch comes on a generic stainless steel strap which currently fits a 17cm wrist, although there is capacity for a little adjustment both ways.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
