Antique silver half hunter pocket watch and chain.

The watch has a 15-jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed Hexameter, a brand name registered by Reichenberg & Cie in 1922. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the three covers for Birmingham 1930 with a maker’s mark for the Birmingham case maker Aaron Dennison. The Dennison Watch Case Company supplied cases for various watch makers.

The front of the case has a small central lens surrounded by enamel filled Roman numerals. The front cover is in good condition while the back cover has some unevenness.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside, there is an acrylic lens which is in good condition.

The dial is signed with the name of the original retailers of the watch, F C Richard, Birmingham. There is a faint hairline crack running across the dial but it is quite difficult to see with the naked eye.

The watch comes with a single silver chain, 33cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. Also included is a 1925 silver fob, engraved HSCCC 1925, which has been permanently attached to the chain. The chain and fob weigh 42g.

The watch and chain come in a new presentation box.
