Beautifully proportioned late 18th to early 19th century French walnut and brass inlaid marble top commode in the Directoire style, with a Paris makers mark. Circa 1800.The size of this commode is one of its highlights, being on a smaller scale than many this will sit anywhere and look fabulous without overpowering a smaller room. Lovely original shaped marble top matching the front corners to those turned and fluted columns over three full width drawers, all of which are chestnut lined and run very well.
