Antique Waltham Traveler half hunter pocket watch and chain.

The watch has a gilt seven jewel stem-winding movement, Traveler grade, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed, and the serial number 19,441,513 dates it back to 1913. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has some light scratching and a slight indentation.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the gold plated Star model from the Dennison Watch Case Company. Dennisons made most of the cases for Waltham UK. The case is in good condition, just a little unevenness to the back but not too serious at all. The front cover has a small central lens which is surrounded by blue enamel filled Roman numerals.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside, there is a glass lens which is in lovely condition.

The dial has a short faint hairline between 11 and 12 but barely visible to the naked eye. Blued steel hands including the special half hunter hour hand which means that the time can be read even when the front cover is closed.

The watch comes with a single chain, 30cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. There is some wear and marking to the chain.

The watch and chain come in a new presentation box.
