Gents Eterna Matic 3000 automatic wrist watch.

The watch has a 21-jewel automatic movement, calibre 1466U, which is working nicely. This calibre of movement was first produced in 1962. This particular watch has the serial number 4944247 which dates it to 1963.

The watch measures 34mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is 14k gold capped which means the bezel is solid gold with the remainder of the case being stainless steel with a thick layer of gold applied onto the tops of the lugs. The front and sides of the case in good condition. There are some scratches to the case back where it looks like a tool has slipped in the past.

The winding crown is probably a later replacement, or the ball bearings logo has worn down.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, seconds sweep and a date display (quick set by repeatedly pulling and pushing the crown).

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
