Description

1920s Omega pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement, signed Omega, which is working nicely. The movement is all protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold filled and was made by Fahys. Joseph Fahys & Co was a high end watch case maker with headquarters in New York. The company was founded in 1857 by Joseph Fahys, a French emigrant. Fahys supplied Omega with cases at the beginning of the 20th Century. Overall the case is in very nice condition, just a hint of unevenness to the hinged case back.

The glass lens has some small nibbles to the edge, and a few small marks but nothing too detrimental at all.

The dial has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track. There are a couple of hairline cracks to the dial but they are very faint.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
