The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1950s.
The watch has a Swiss 15-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely.
The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Edinburgh 1958. It is in good condition with general light surface marks, nothing serious at all.

The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers. There is light freckling across the dial but not too detrimental.

The brand name Trojan was registered several times but this is likely to be from The Crown Manufacturing Company who were based in Leeds. They would have imported the movements from Switzerland, and then finished and cased them in readiness for wholesale.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
