Antique Elgin G M Wheeler half hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a 17-jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. This is a high grade movement adjusted in three positions, screw-set jewels, beautiful nickel plates with gilt highlights and Moseley patent regulator. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 15,860,190 dates it back to 1911.

The movement is protected by an inner hinged dust cover which has some fairly light scratching from where it has been opened in the past.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold filled and was made for Elgin by the Keystone Watch Case Company. The case is in lovely condition with just general very light surface marks.

The front cover has a small central lens surrounded by blue enamel filled Roman numerals.

The glass lens is in lovely condition.

The watch has a double sunk signed dial which is in beautiful condition with blued steel hands, including the special half hunter hour hand so that the time can be read when the front cover is closed.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
