Antique silver Omega pocket watch.

The watch has a gilt stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number, 5,259,139, dates it back to around 1918. The movement is protected by an inner hinged dust cover which has images of medals.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is in the galonne style which is 800 silver with rose gold wash detail. There are Continental hallmarks inside both of the back covers. There is engine turned detail to the hinged case back, and a central cartouche with initials. The case is in good condition, just some rubbing to the gold wash, and a small 1mm knock to the side, but nothing too serious at all.

The glass lens is in lovely condition.

The signed dial looks good to the naked eye. If viewed closely, there is a 1cm hairline between 8 and 9. Lovely original ornate hour and minute hands, red 24 hour numbers (often added when the watch was commissioned for military use) and a subsidiary seconds dial.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
