Description

Gents 1930s Gruen wrist watch.

The watch has a 17-jewel calibre 705 hand-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch measures 25mm wide excluding the winding crown and 34mm high excluding the lugs. The case is 10k gold filled and was made for Gruen by the Solidarity, a watch case manufacturer based in Brooklyn, New York. The inside of the case back is also stamped ‘cased & timed in USA by Gruen Watch Co’. The case is in very nice condition with just light surface marks, nothing serious at all.

The lens looks good to the naked eye, just a couple of little marks if viewed closely.

The dial is in its original finish with original hads, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
