This well-decorated and richly-coloured ENGLISH POTTERY TOBY JUG, probably made in Yorkshire, dates from circa 1830.
It has a CARYATID handle, curly pipe detail and a spongeware finish to the inside of the hat.
The condition is good. There are no chips, cracks or restoration. There is a small area of paint rubbing to the rim of the miniature jug he is holding.
