Description

Antique Omega gun metal pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Omega name and the serial number 4,513,644 dates it back to around 1914. The movement is protected by an inner hinged dust cover.

The watch measures 47mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gun metal with gold highlights. Gun metal is an alloy of copper, tin and zinc which was originally used in gun manufacture but was later replaced by steel. The condition is good for gun metal, which tends to mark over the years. There is some surface marking to the back but nothing too detrimental. The inner case back is signed with the early Omega logo.

The acrylic lens is in good condition.

The signed dial is in lovely condition. The minute hand is a period replacement.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
