Antique silver Frigott full hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a Swiss 15-jewel stem-winding movement, signed Frigott, which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside all three covers for London (import mark), 1917, with a sponsor’s mark for William Sparrow.

The movement and case did not start life together. The movement is a period replacement, perhaps a more economical option than a repair at the time, in the case of a major occurrence such as water damage.

The case has general light surface marks and the odd small mark but nothing too serious. The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover.

Inside, there is a glass lens which is in good condition.

The dial has a couple of hairline cracks but they are faint. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
